Quick Little Haul!

Yesterday I went shopping and I did make a small stop at Ulta. I did buy three nail polishes, and so here they are!

The first polish is the Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat. This was $4.99 at Ulta and I am so glad I bought it. I have been needing a new base and top coat, and it was cheaper to buy the two-in-one polish rather than buying two separate ones. I really like this and it gives me a glossy shine and it has not chipped yet. Also, I love it as a base coat, so I would really recommend it. Here is a better picture of just this polish.

The next color is China Glaze Swanky Silk. I LOVE this color and I am wearing it right now! It is so pretty and so different! It was part of the New Bohemian Collection, which was the Fall 2012 Collection. It is a gorgeous gold-green and then it shifts to a peachy-rose. It is gorgeous and I love it! Also, it was originally $9.00, but I got it on sale for $4.99! What a steal!  Here it is on my nails!

The last color of the three that I bought was Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Color in Angel Bite. This color is gorgeous as well! In the bottle it looks almost maroon or a red toned brown, but when I swatched it, I was so surprised by that it was more of like a wine color! I love this so much for the fall and winter, and I will definitely wear this color a lot. This was originally $7.00 but I got it for $3.99! So happy that I bought it! Here is Angel Bite.

Overall, I really would recommend all of these polishes! Also, I started a YouTube channel so go check that out and subscribe! Here is the link to my latest video!

FIRST ORLY POLISH! EXCITED!

So today I went to CVS and it turns out that there is a sale on all of the Orly nail colors of 50%, excluding the base coat and top coats. So I was in the market for a new gold so I picked up Luxe. And I LOVE it! It is just your regular gold but the application was da bomb .com. AMAZING! I think I found my new favorite brand! So, here is Luxe.

Girly but With a Twist...

So I added a little to my matte black ad white nails by layering Revlon number 260 Girly over the white and then re-layering the Matte Me Crazy top coat from NYC. Girly is just a pretty jelly Lavender with indigo, peach, coral, and magenta hexagon glitters and iridescent square glitters. Hope you enjoy!

Matte Black and White Nails!

Today I decided to paint my nails plain old black and white! So I painted my thumbs, middle fingers and pinkies with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails X Treme Wear in 300 White On. And, on my remaining nails I painted on 370 Black Out from the same line as White On. Then, I used my NYC Matte Me Crazy Top Coat on all of my fingers. Hope you like it!

My First Gradient!!

So today I did my first gradient manicure. To learn how, follow the steps below!! If you already know, my mani will be pictured at the bottoms of this post!

MATERIALS:
Base Coat
White Nail Polish
Three Cohesive Polishes
Top Coat
Makeup Sponge
Q-Tips
Nail Polish Remover

How To:
1. Remove all nail polish from the nail and apply a base coat. I used Revlon Colorstay Gel-Smooth Base Coat ($4.99 at Target).
2. Apply two coats of a white polish, or until full opacity. I used OPI Alpine Snow ($8.00 at Ulta).
3. Paint a heavy stripe onto the makeup sponge of each polish, making sure one overlaps the one above it. The three polishes I used were NYC In A Minute color in 221 Spring Street ($1.72 at Target), then Zoya Jancyn ($5.99 at TJ Maxx), and lastly Sally Hansen Hard as Nails XTreme Wear in 360 Mellow Yellow ($3.19 at CVS).
4. After applying, remove the remaining polish around your finger. Apply a top coat and your done! The top coat used was NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in 271 Extra Shiny Top Coat ($0.94 at Target).

I really love this manicure and will be sure to replicate throughout the summer!!

Matte Top Coat Finally!!!!

Alright so guys I finally bought a matte top coat from the NYC brand. It was $1.72 and it does really work!!! On this manicure, I put it on over all of my nails over NYC In A Minute Fast Dry in 201 Fashion Safari, which is a really nice nude color. Also, on top of my nails are my two crackle/shatter polishes. The black is Black Shatter from OPI, and the white is Lightning Bolt from China Glaze. I really like this and the top coat and the top coat has worked very well so far. I am very happy with it and will be re-purchasing it when I run out of it!!

I did buy some more products, so I will be making a whole new blog post with all of those products. They are both fashion and makeup products!!!

Geometric Mani!!!!!

So I am loving this manicure right now. Like a lot!!!!!!!! On my pointer, middle, pinky, and the triangles on the thumb and ring finger is Sally Hansen Hard As Nails XTreme Wear Nail Polish in 360 Mint Sorbet. The base of the ring finger and thumb are Wet and Wild Rock Solid Nail Lacquer in 226 Beautiful and Bronze. I made the triangles by using a nail art brush and purling a triangle. Then, using that same brush, I filled in the triangle with the SH Mint Sorbet.

OPI DUPE ALERT!!!

This new manicure is gorgeous in my opinion!! It is Sally Hansen XTreme Wear in Pacific Blue with Sinful Color Hottie on top. Hottie is a dupe for OPI Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry Collection. I really love this pairing, so it definitely will be recreated in the future!!

Eggshell Polish Maybe!?

I hope this post will turn out okay because this is my first mobile blog post!! But anyways, this polish is Revlon's Girly. For this manicure, I have it layered over Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails XTreme Wear in White On. Girly is jam packed with indigo, peach, coral, magenta, lilac, and iridescent hexagon glitters, varying in size. The new trend this spring is eggshell polishes, or polishes that look like speckled eggs. I know this is borderline eggshell effect, but there are many many more brands carrying these eggshell polishes.

New Manicure!

So I changed my nails shortly after I posted about my cotton candy nails, and I changed them to Wet and Wild Fast Dry's Grays Anatomy.  This polish alone is a great dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Wicked Game, and if you add a silver micro glitter top coat, you get a great dupe for Butter London's Knackered.  Here are Deborah Lippmann's Wicked Game and Wet and Wild's Grays Anatomy together!

WNW'S GRAYS ANATOMY
compared to
DL'S WICKED GAME

I LOVE this polish and it is a GREAT dupe for the much more expensive Deborah Lippmann polishes.  I think this is a great spring polish, and really a polish for any time of the year.  It has a great consistency, and with two coats, it was totally opaque!

I'm Back!!

Sorry I haven't been posting for a really long time, but I only did do one new manicure between the "Wet Cement" polish and the one pictured below, which was a pastel water marble.  But today, I have a three-layered manicure.  The base polish is Wet and Wild MegaLast polish in "I Need a Refresh-Mint", with the Jelly Belly "Crushed Pineapple" (silver shimmer top coat), and then Milani's "Disco Lights" (a pinkish-mauve shimmer top coat).

Nude Nails and Ugly-Pretty Colors (but mainly just ugly)!!

So I went to Walgreens on Sunday and bought four polishes, two Wet and Wild Mega Last polishes, one Wet and Wild Fast Dry polishes and one Essie polish.  The three Wet and Wild polishes were $1.99 and the Essie polish was $8.00.

The two Wet and Wild Mega Last Polishes are Wet Cement and I Need a Refresh-Mint.

Wet Cement is a greige, creamy color.  I only used three coats and it applied flawlessly for a second coat.  I LOVE the brushes, they are HUGE!!!  I would say that Wet Cement is an almost dupe for OPI's You Don't Know Jacques!

I Need A Refresh-Mint is a gorgeous creamy Tiffany Blue color, and not as much a mint as I expected it to be.  The brush is also very wide like Wet Cement.  I would say that this color is a dupe for China Glaze's For Audrey.

The Fast Dry polish that I bought from Wet and Wild is Gray's Anatomy.  This is a lilac, green, and muted sky blue multi-chrome color.  This brush is not as wide as the Mega Last brushes.  Many people say that is a dupe for Butter London's Knackered, although its more of a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Wicked Game because Knackered has iridescent shimmers in it.  If you were to add silver shimmer top coat over it, then it would look more like Knackered than Wicked Game.

Lastly, this is my Essie polish.  It is called Armed and Ready, and it was from the Go Overboard collection.  It would definitely fit into the Ugly-Pretty Colors group, like Butter London's Wallis, but sadly this color was much more ugly than pretty.  Excuse my language, but it is the color of poop with copper shimmers in it.  I probably won't ever wear it again, and now I am kicking myself because I was contemplating whether or not to get Bahama Mama or Size Matters or Angora Cardi, but I decided that I would get Armed and Ready, and I was sadly disappointed.

New Manicure!!!!

Okay Guys, so I changed my nails from the teal and copper to a caviar manicure using the Ciate caviar mini bar set.  I decided not to use a polish that came within the set, so I used Sally Hansen's Blue Me Away! which is a pretty aqua blue.  On my ring finger, I put the Candy Shop pearls on, which are orange, hot pink, and aqua pearls.

New Mani!!

So I haven't changed my nails in a long time because I had so may colors that I want to try!  So I chose two colors randomly and they look pretty awesome together! I am trying this new look so that three fingers are one color and the remaining two are a different color.  I got this idea from ArcadiaNailArt on youtube doing a review on the Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away Collection (I will link the video below the picture).  So I painted my thumb, pointer finger, and middle finger Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Black and Blue.  This is a great drugstore dupe for Essie's Dive Bar.  For those who don't know what it looks like, it is a navy base with green and purple duo-chrome and then aqua micro glitters.  On the ring finger and pinky, I painted Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength in Antiqued Bronze. This is a great dupe for OPI's Brisbane Bronze.  It is really just the color of a penny and I really love the copper and the teal together.

Nail Time!!

Okay so I changed my nails from my orange rainbow funfest manicure to this mani.  It is Maybelline's Color Show in Iced Queen with Milani's Jewel FX in Lavender.  I am not really a big fan of Iced Queen, because it is more of a grayish purple, not a real true lilac that is shown in the bottle. And so my quest goes on for a quality nail polish in lilac and purple.

New Nails!!!

Okay guys so I decided to change my nails...again! The base color is Sally Hansen's Sun Kissed, which is a light, creamy orange, kind of like the color of the cheese powder to make kraft mac and cheese, and over it I have a Pic-A-Colour nail polish which is like a dupe for a dupe.  It is like Milani's Gems, which is the dupe for OPI's Rainbow Connection. I would recommend putting it over either a white, black or a color that is one of the glitter colors.  I would recommend like a pink or aqua or even an orange or green.

Here it is!!!

New Nail Time!

Okay so with the polishes that I got in wednesday, I made a manicure first with Black Out by Sally Hansen and Shine of the Times by Essie.  I really liked it and thought that it looked cool.  Here it is down below!

Also, I recently changed my manicure to Fuchsia Fever by Maybelline and Lightning Bolt by China Glaze (White Crackle).  This looks really cool, but just as a warning, i advise you to put either the purple over a similar color or put multiple coats.  It took 5-6 coats to get this color.

CVS Haul!!!

Okay guys, so I just went to CVS and I bought a hefty amount of polish, and then other, miscillaneous items.  So I bought 12 polishes (3 Maybelline Color Show, 1 Complete Salon Manicure, 1 Diamond Strength, and 7 Sally Hansen Hard as Nails XTreme Wear polishes)!

Here they are!

Fuchsia Fever:

Sapphire Siren:

Iced Queen:

Black and Blue: This picture does not match the real color.  It looks a lot like Essie's Dive Bar in real life)

Antiqued Bronze: This was the bronze that I ordered before and then mysteriously disappeared

Mint Sorbet:

Black Out:

White On:

Sun Kissed:

Mellow Yellow:

Blue Me Away!:

Green With Envy:

And then I bought make up sponges to make gradients

And a lip stain ( Maybelline Color Whisperer in Pin Up Peach)

So that is what I bought at CVS today, and I really like all of these colors!! Hope you enjoyed this!
